How to Take CBD Oil

We recommend placing CBD oil under the tongue and holding it there for a minute or two.

This gives you the maximum absorption and avoids the taste at the back of your throat which some people find a little harsh. If you find the taste harsh, follow it with a light, fatty snack, such as a cheese or buttered cracker.

How Much CBD Oil Do I Need?

You should start with a low dose and gradually increase.

Everyone is different and the dosage can vary from person to person. You can discover your own dose by titrating (increasing slowly over time) up to the dosage where you get most relief. Generally, for most people, this is somewhere around 2-3 drops three times a day.

  • Suggested Programme:
    • Start with one drop once a day. After 3-5 days, increase to one drop three times a day. After another 3-5 days, increase to two drops three times a day.
    • Stay on two drops three times a day until you have been using CBD for about 3 weeks. Review your results and decide how it is working for you.
    • Continue to titrate up to find the dosage where you get the best effects. Increase to three drops 3 times a day, and after another week, increase to four drops 3 times a day.
    • If you increase and after about a week you feel that not much additional relief is obtained, reduce back to your previous dose. This becomes your ‘maintenance’ dose.

Theoretically, it is possible if you are taking very large doses of CBD Oil (above 1000-2000mg per day) that minute traces of THC could build up over time. Differing body weights, metabolic rates and other lifestyle factors make it possible that CBD Oil containing as little as 0.02% THC could show up in swabs, blood or urinalysis.

A drug test normally uses a urine or blood sample to check for the presence of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), the component in marijuana which produces a high. If you have taken CBD Oil you probably won’t get a positive result on any drug test.
